Important Operations & Maintenance Notes
Sterilization temperature must be ≤ 135 °C (Improved type ≤ 155 °C). If the temperature exceeds 135 °C, the motor could be damaged.
The normal bone drill can only hold drill bits less than 6mm. The acetabulum reaming drill works with big torque at around 300 rpm, and the cannulated drill operates at around 600 rpm with nails or K-wires.
The battery must be removed from the power tool immediately after surgery. Otherwise, the automatic small electrical discharge will significantly shorten the battery lifespan.
The battery cannot be sterilized and is not autoclavable.
The cranial bur must be washed immediately after surgery using a purger to prevent blood from sticking inside the bur, and it must be kept dry.
The battery compartment in the handpiece of the tool should remain completely dry and free of water after sterilization processes.
The cranial bur blade is made of medical stainless steel. To avoid breakage, it is designed to be flexible rather than extremely hard. Because it wears easily, we suggest using each blade for one surgery only.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the sterilization limit for the HAS-B100 power tool?

The handpiece and attachments can handle sterilization temperatures up to 135 °C (with improved variants handling up to 155 °C). Going beyond this limit can damage the internal motor. Please note that the battery is not autoclavable and should never be sterilized.

How long does the battery last on a full charge?

A fully charged battery provides approximately 30 minutes of continuous operation. The standard kit package comes with 2 batteries, allowing you to cycle them during longer surgical procedures.

What drill bit sizes are compatible with the HAS-B100 normal bone drill?

The standard bone drill attachment is compatible with drill bits that have a diameter of less than 6mm. The chuck gripper diameter itself accommodates bits up to 4mm.

How should the battery be maintained after orthopedic procedures?

It is crucial to remove the battery from the handpiece immediately after completing a surgery. Keeping the battery inside the tool causes a small, constant automatic discharge that will shorten the overall life of the battery cell.

What is the warranty coverage for this veterinary power tool?

We offer a 1-year warranty for the whole machine, a 2-year warranty specifically covering the motor, and a 3-month warranty for the batteries and fast-consumption items.

Can the cranial bur blade be reused for multiple surgeries?

The cranial bur blade is made of flexible medical stainless steel to prevent breaking during surgery. Because it is flexible, it wears down quickly. For the safety and efficacy of the surgery, we strongly suggest using each blade for one surgery only.
